From BLUG

Hey guys

Another great night, was a really good turn out even after many people not being able to make it! So there was a lot of different things discussed, and i probably can't remember or note everything so i ask if I missed anything try and fill it in. Note we moved to the small alcove some people didn't realize, keep an eye on the meet reminders for the location.

For some lifting music while you read this check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LapknbGS7Os my new favourite metal band unsun some good ole polish metal  :) Or if you dont believe in proprietary music try some creative commons http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/49760 try track 3.

So some of the topics discussed include:

solution. gnu/automake helps a lot cmake is useful for porting to windows platforms.

with the 3 doors problem.

time! And is a member of SPI, software in the public interest the main asset holder for debian and other big free software projects.

Christian has reigned from Mozilla http://www.christiansejersen.com/blog/2009/07/leaving-mozilla/ moving to nokia from his work on fennec.

@redbrain i got access to the gnu compile farm of servers, MIPS is interesting its fast and i don't understand the $cat /proc/cpuinfo what does this mean:

[redbrain@gdium ~]$ cat /proc/cpuinfo system type  : gdium processor  : 0 cpu model  : ICT Loongson-2 V0.3 FPU V0.1 BogoMIPS  : 598.60 wait instruction  : no microsecond timers  : yes tlb_entries  : 64 extra interrupt vector  : no hardware watchpoint  : no ASEs implemented  : shadow register sets  : 1 VCED exceptions  : not available VCEI exceptions  : not available

Thats just one of the mips machines  :) The other looks a little different i think.

php guru  ;)

developers to keep clients from being very annoying!

on top of debian.

is fine, but making a clear cut library interfaces C++ is nice to have the notion of privacy protected or public access.

Chinese...... no comment  :-) .
